Tough Times

These past couple of years have been though! With Covid-19 and its variants, deaths, violence, crime, injustices, political uprisings, and disasters all around us. There seems to be no relief. I know what I've been experiencing -- as well as those around me. So I can only imagine what people in society, with more responsibilities, are going through. Can we even begin to empathize with others across the globe?

Sometime during my incarceration I saved a lot of quotes, definitions, and anything else important to me in a composition book. I'd like to take this time to share a quote from my book that I feel speaks to us all and the hardships we've been experiencing:

"Tough times never last, but tough people do." -- Robert Schuller

This quote always gives me the energy to endure beyond my present circumstance and keep the vision for myself in mind. I hope that these simple words can do something similar for you.
